So it looks like I am good at posting about once a month! Hard to believe Katherine is going to be a year old next month. We have been busy, busy in the Lee house these days. As far as growth and development goes, at 10 months we had to go into the dr to get a splinter removed (Kat did better than mom does!) and she was weighing in at about 15 lbs and about 27in (petite thing still in about the 5th%!). She is gaining about a pound a month which is right on track and prob is at about 16ish now. Still nursing 4 times a day and starting the weaning process, though she is not a big fan of whole milk! She does have the sippy cup thing down and is working on the excitement of using a straw and regular cup. Favorite foods are yogurt, cheese, peas, any fruit (especially blueberries, bananas, avacados, and mangos), and sweet potato pancakes!
As far as movement goes she is all over the house. Loves to explore everything, pull books off shelves, pull anything out of a box or bag, and pushes anything that moves (boxes, books, her activity table!, her push and ride toy, etc) She is standing up on her own and looks so funny b.c of her size when she is just standing eating a snack off the table or stands up in the middle of the room or tubby! From what I hear we are just moments away from walking. We're crusing furniture for sure and wanting to walk holding oyur hand all the time. She loves outside and looks out the window or sits outside in her stoller and watches mom water the yard. Newest tricks are blowing kisses, waving, clapping, and shaking head "no". Sometimes she gets excited nad does all at once when she knows she is on the spot to preform!
That is about all that is going on here. We had a great vacation at Cape Hatteras with The Guys' and The Plunketts' at the end of April. Katherine loved the beach. She and her BFF Mary beth have had several play dates as well and are so adorable together. They just talk, talk, talk (been listening to mommies all this time and now it is their time!). We had a fun time in Greenville last week and went to the zoo with Maggie and Caroline Conroy and Warren Bach. The past 2 weeks we have also enjoyed meeting our new BFF Gussie Walker and our new cousin William Clarke. We are going this weekend to meet our new cousin/nephew Andrew Lee in Florence. He is a big boy measuring at 9 lbs and 22 in and a head of black hair at birth! Just adorable and can't wait to meet him. Next post we will be celebrating one year!
