7 1/2 months

So I have neglected the Blog. I forgot about it to be honest with all that has been going on with holidays and Katherine growing! Been a bit more diligent with Facebook I guess! Here are a few updates. Not sure how many people really even follow this...:)

At 6 months appointment she was 12 lbs 8 oz and 24 1/4 in. This doubles her birth weight which is right on track. She is still a little shrimp compared to her friends though! We had to go to the dr for a sick visit at 7 months + and she was just over 13 lbs. As far as milestones she is crawling all over the place. We started tummy to sitting just before Christmas (6 mo+) and since has quickly moved to a full crawl (7 mo). Dr Willard says her size helps her zip around easily with the crawl and she is perfecting what he say is about a 9-10 mo crawl! This has changed our life for sure as we are having to watch her like a hawk! Apollo is starting to not like this whole movement thing! She is using us like a jungle gym, pulling up on chairs, tables, her activity table, the crib...really anything her short self can reach. Time to lower the crib for sure!

She has tried a variety of solid food but really likes Applesause and Avacado! Mom is trying a combo of homemade and jarred food and having fun with this too! It really has been easy to do and she loves it. As you can see in the picture she loves the teething biscuit but can't figure out the puffs/cheerios yet. Just holds on to them and passes from hand to hand! We are still nursing and doing great with that and hope to continue as long as we can. Definately not as interested in her milk when she can be on the floor playing though!

Just getting over our first real sickness. Had first fever of 102.5 which led into an upper respitory/RSV illness. Luckily after a not so fun visit to the dr we came home and had to let the bad cough/wheezing, etc work its way out. Between Mon and Wed visits (going back for follow up) though she developed her first ear infection. Caught it early though so hopefully will be out by the time we finish antibiotic. Now she has passed it onto mom and dad though which is no fun...glad she is feeling better!
